Q: |
I'm a Content Owner. How is payment collected and disbursed to me? What are the terms? |
|
A: |
Two separate payment structures are available for Content Owners:
- 0% Transaction Fee (Free service): For Content Owners who belong to Pay2Play through a Pay2Play Participating Partner* (PPP),
the Pay2Play service is entirely free, and the customary transaction fee of 5% is waived.
- Standard 5% Transaction Fee: For Independent Content Owners unaffiliated with a PPP, a 5% processing fee is applied to each
transaction.
Example:
If a user successfully unlocks a movie file (thereby obtaining the license to play that movie from the Content Owner), and
the content owner charges $20 for that particular movie and license,
Pay2Play collects $20 from the user. Pay2Play then remits $20 to the PPP-affiliated content owner (or $19 to the unaffiliated content owner;
the remaining one dollar represents Pay2Play's 5% processing fee).
Payments are remitted to Content Owners weekly. The weekly measurement period begins at 12:00am Sunday, and ends at 11:59pm Saturday. Just one to two
business days later, typically the Monday or Tuesday that immediately follow, your payment is disbursed to you. Pay2Play is affiliated with the most trusted
name in internet entertainment, WebPower, Inc, which is in its tenth (10) consecutive year of providing uninterrupted weekly payments to hundreds of thousands
of payees like you. For more information, please click the "Terms of Service" link at the bottom of this page.
(*Current PPPs include iFriends.net, SizzlingCams.com, TotallyFreeCams.com, IncredibleCams.com and FanClubs.com)

Q: |
I'm an Affiliate Marketer. How is payment collected and disbursed to me? What are the terms? |
|
A: |
When you use the "Lock File" feature to commission-enable a Pay2Play movie file, distribute/promote that file on the internet, and an individual unlocks that file (thereby obtaining the
license to access and play
the file), the license-fee the individual pays is the original license amount plus whatever additional amount you specify as your commission.
Example:
If you commission-enable a Pay2Play file for which the Content Owner charges a $20 license fee, and you add a $5 commission to that amount for your own file, the customer who
unlocks your file agrees to pay a license-fee of $25. Pay2Play remits $5 to you (your commission), and $20 to the Content Owner. ($19 if the Content Owner is subject to the standard 5% transaction
fee for Content Owners unaffiliated with Pay2Play Participating Partners.
Your commission payments are remitted to you every week.

Q: |
What happens if a user has used his credit card to unlock my Pay2Play-enabled WindowsMedia file, and then he emails the unlocked file to a friend? |
A: |
The friend is very disappointed. He has to pay too! (When the friend attempts to play the "unlocked" file, he is greeted by the same request for licensing/payment information as a first-time user would be). |
Q: |
I don't want anybody in my home town to be able to unlock and play this file. Do you have a feature that will support my privacy in this manner? |
A: |
You bet. Go to the "Privacy Settings" area of your account registration, and identify any number of zip codes, states, provinces
and even entire countries where you want users prevented from unlocking or playing your material. (For your convenience, wildcards are supported).
These privacy settings may be changed at any time, and changes immediately apply to all of your existing locked movies in circulation. |
Q: |
What is ContentShield, or "cShield.com", and how does it relate to Pay2Play? |
A: |
ContentShield and Pay2Play are sister companies. Consumers experience, and pay for, your Pay2Play-protected content through
the ContentShield name and "cShield" website. (We chose the name "ContentShield" because it conveys the message that the content is shielded from
any person who is not authorized to view it, such as minors [who may lack payment mechanisms such as a credit-card], file-traders and hackers. |
|
Q: |
What's "Under the Hood" of Pay2Play? Is it some kind of Digital-Rights-Management (DRM) scheme? |
A: |
Pay2Play utilizes the worldwide-standard Microsoft Windows Media DRM (Digital-Rights-Management) Technology Platform. This ensures that your
content is playable (and purchaseable) for the widest possible worldwide audience possible. |
Q: |
Can I log in to Pay2Play.net using my iFriendsV2 VCH screenname and password?" |
A: |
Yes. Because iFriendsV2 is a Pay2Play Participating Partner (PPP), your iFriendsV2 login and password, as well as your iFriendsV2 content, works automatically with Pay2Play. (As a convenience feature, the first time you use your VCH screenname and password to log in to Pay2Play, a new Pay2Play account is automatically created under the same name, and with your same iFriendsV2 information. From that point forward, to perform any changes to your Pay2Play account information, you must use the Pay2Play.com website.) |
